You do great, but this is really something you could improve on. In fact, Pcloud should restructure their functionalities: make the "Sync" option a two-way synchronisation, and make the "Backup" option a real backup, which is a one-way (mirror) solution. This is really annoying, why is this even the case? I only see disadvantages. It is always possible that this cloud copy gets corrupted, or that for some reason you delete some stuff by accident on the cloud, which then also will delete the corresponding contents from your local device. Just a side-note, and I noticed that a lot of other pcloud users ask this: please adjust the "Backup" functionality so that it becomes a one-way (mirror) backup: users should have the opportunity to mirror their files and folders from their local device to the cloud, and not the other way around. Like "wait 24hours and write us again".Īlmost 3 year using Pcloud services: need for 1-way REAL backup (mirror)Īlmost 3 year using Pcloud services, 2TB lifetime formula. I sent my Information to pcloud but the support still doesn't want to compensate me, even after the 14th mail they find new ways to come up with nonsense. I already switched to mega on the same Mac with no problems. Especially since the mobile app is not an alternative. Other buyers from Europe seem to have the same problem, I can only advise everyone to think carefully about their purchase and to make use of their right of recall in the event of problems as long as possible. I wrote the support 10 mails and asking for a refund, provided videos as proof, sent my ip address, submitted speed tests did endless of other test and configurations just to get written download the new update. The transfer speed is always under 200kbs, the icon is bugging around, transfers stopping completly. Ive had a similar issue before, but it was when pcloud was down (I couldnt even login to my account on the website). Living in Europe and using a Mac this service is just unusable. I have pcloud installed in both systems and today, while I was using Ubuntu, I noticed that while pcloud appears to be running, the drive is not mounted, the folder looks empty and I cant access any of my files. After buying the lifetime option, I realIy regret my decision.
